Mobile Feedbacksystem

Car drivers are not always aware of their speed of traveling. This can result in unsafe situations. Feedback given by over speeding can result in reducing speed. When a car driver is not traveling to fast, positive feedback, should encourage him.

TEKSTKAR Mobile Feedback system informs car drivers about the mean speed of a followed track. The systems concerns of two measuring units and a textcar. The information for the car driver shown on the textcar consists of the license plate, the mean speed, en the text “Oke”, or “Too Fast”.

Evaluation studies show that given feedback has a positive influence on travel speed of car drivers, which has a positive effect on road safety. The collected data of cars will be calculated to statistic information. This information can be used for evaluations. Data can be collected of a track over maximum two kilometer on one lane.

Optional a camera can be installed on the TEKSTKAR. These cameras are connected to our traffic control centre in Laakdal (BE). The user gets a unique username and password to approach the cameras. If necessary it’s possible to show maximum 4 camera pictures on the computer screen.
